Study Abroad in the UK
On Sunday India will be moved from the UK’s RED list to amber list. This will benefit tens of thousands of Indian travelling to the UK including students who will be starting their higher education in the UK for the September 2021 intake. Along with India, UAE, Qatar and Bahrain will also be considered as amber travel list of countries.

What will change on August 8, 2021?

  • Passengers will not be required to book hotel quarantine and testing package
  • Travellers must stay home quarantine or at the place they stay for 10 days in UK
  • Everyone must complete and submit a Passenger Locator Form at the UK airport on arrival
  • One must carry proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken 3 days before departure

Indians arriving to UK from India and has been vaccinated with Covishield, Covaxin or Sputnik V are given the option to take home quarantine for 10 days or at the place where they stay in the United Kingdom.

India was added to the RED list on April 23 this year. Any passenger traveling to the UK from India had to book hotel quarantine and testing package by law at their own cost of £1750 (This amount is set to go up to £2285 after 12 th August).

This move will benefit at max to the students who are travelling to the UK for their further studies as they had to bear the extra cost of hotel quarantine and testing package.
